Advantage Medical Professionals currently services travel contracts for the following licensed nursing professionals:

  • RN
  • LPN/LVN
  • OR Tech
  • Sterile Processing Tech
  • Allied Health professionals

 

Do I need experience to become a travel nurse?

You must have at least 1 year of experience in your specialty. Some facilities may require more than 1 year of experience, but our recruiting team will help you find travel contracts in facilities that fit your experience and skills. If you are a new grad considering travel nursing, we encourage you to fill out an application with us so we can stay in touch about opportunities and start the hiring process when you’re ready.

 

How do I start the process of becoming a travel nurse?

What credentials and certifications are required for travel nurses?

  • An active license or active compact status license for the state you are looking to do contracts in.
  • An active AHA BLS certification

Note: These are the minimum requirements for travel nurses. Some facilities may have additional credentialing or licensure requirements.

 

What types of medical facilities hire travel nurses?

Hospitals and other healthcare facilities have the highest need for travel nurses, but we also have opportunities for travel nurses in schools and correctional facilities.

 

How much do Travel Nurses typically get paid?

What is Per Diem Nursing?

Per diem is Latin for “for each day.” Facilities will utilize per diem nurses to fill in daily or short-term shifts. Many facilities internally use the term “PRN” when referring to their internal per diem nursing assignments. We offer Per Diem opportunities throughout Louisiana.

 

How do I find housing?

There are many ways to find housing as a travel nurse. Our travel contract pay packages include a non-taxable stipend for travel, meals, and incidental during your travel assignment. Finding furnished housing options that best fit your needs has never been easier thanks to websites like Furnished Finder, Airbnb, and VRBO. Extended-stay hotels and Facebook groups dedicated to travel nurse housing are great options too!

 

Do I qualify for benefits?

Do you have opportunities for CNAs?
