  • Ensure that operative, informed consents, and any other required documentation are signed and in order
  • Develop/complete individualized patient assessments and care plan accordingly
  • Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
  • Monitor vital signs, change bandages, and administer necessary medications
  • Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure
  • Assess patients’ post-operative condition
  • Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes
  • Record sedation levels and body temperatures
  • Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies
