They do it bigger in Texas, especially when it comes to their Rodeos. Most Houstonians wait all year for the Houston Rodeo to return. The atmosphere is unlike any other event worldwide. If the actual rodeo wanst enough for you, they also have performances by some of the biggest names in music. Such as Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Garth Brooks and many more.

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park
On a warm day in Houston, you can find many people cooling off at Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park. According to the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park's official website, the park is 2.77 acres and features a 64-foot semi-circular architectural fountain that re-circulates 11,000 gallons of water per minute as it cascades down the water wall structure’s inner and outer walls.

WorldFest-Houston, the third longest-running International Film Festival in North America. WorldFest offers competition in Short Subjects, Theatrical Features, Film & Video Productions, TV Commercials, Television & Cable & Web Productions, Scripts, New Media, Music Videos and Experimental Productions.

Discovery Green is a 12-acre park created by a public-private partnership between the City of Houston and the non-profit Discovery Green Conservancy. The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is 155-acres of over 5 miles of walking trails. Escape the big city life for a day and take a break exploring forest, ponds, wetlands and meadow habitats. Inside the building, there is a Discovery Room, that offers hands-on interactive exhibits, microscopes, touch screens and more for learning about the habitats and plant and wildlife found at the Center. This is a great place for education and fun.
